GS400 Pricing Info.
I'll be purchasing a 98 GS400 for my little sister however, I'm buying it from my best friends dad and I really respect him as my own uncle.
I do not want to low ball him but I like to be fair for both of us and I'm plan to offer him $10k, do you guys think its fair??
I went to edmunds.com and got $9866 for private party pricing.
Here is the vehicle info:
Year: 1998 GS400
Color: White
Mileage: 63000
Options: 6 CD Changer, Nav, Nakamich audio, 17 chrome wheels, rear wing, HIDs, heated seats, etc...
What you guys think???
Any help will be appreciated...

10k is low if it has been maintained, esp. w/ those options
i sold my 98 w/ 130k miles for 10k 9 months ago
good luck to you and let me know, i might be interested in trading my 01 gs430 for it (i prefer the 400)

i think $10,000 is perfectly fine.At least for me it is. Although for $10,000, you are generally looking at GSs with mileage between 90k to 140k but these cars are not on the same price range as they were 9months ago. Hell, even 5months ago. Considering its a 98, i think $10k is good. But really depends on seller. How much is he asking?
It does have low mileage but you should be worried whether it was maintained properly. The nav is pretty much useless as it is outdated compared to the newer models.
good luck

hey guys, im a new member but just to help you judge:
I bought recently a 98 GS 400 silver/grey with 80k miles no navi, or spoiler, but with every other option for $10,800.00 + tax and license.
$10,000 is reasonable I think, but depends on what state your buying from and the demand for the car. Good luck.

hey guys, the options it had was:
HID lights, heated seats, 17" wheels, disc changer, lexus phone (which sucks hehe), and i think thats it.
I opted for one with out navi, and the spoiler because I like wingless. Here in so cali, the GS400 with over 100+k miles go for aound 8-9k, and not many silver or white ones around. If they are up they are snatched pretty quickly. The 300 are a dime a dozen.
Also mine was a single owner and was maintained by lexus of beverly hills.
