https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...TE+lip+install

Seems more like some random chat rather than a guide.
Does anyone have any more tips to add or photos would be nice.

thanks in advance.

installing a lip is fairly straightforward...i remember from putting bodykits on some mkz's at the dealership i used to work at.

just mock it up, remove the screw(s) where the end of the lip will wrap into the wheel well, wipe down the areas that the adhesive will attach to with rubbing alcohol, then remove your adhesive backing (use 3m double sided tape if it doesn't come with adhesive, then pop it in place (use a friend so that you can verify it's straight since its such a wide piece) and then fasten the screws in, add any more that you need (i.e. under the front lip) then you're set to go.

i would try and keep it dry and in the sun for a few hours so that the adhesive really gets a chance to cure on there.

Would you suggest machine bolts with washers/nuts or self threading screws?
Also, it looks like the spoiler clears all currently present bolts.....

Gee....from what I remember...this was a simple DIY job....another set of hands would come in handy.

No double stick tape....use the provided glue....if not...buy some Epoxy glue.

Make sure you test fit prior to glueing it down. Its going to be a very snug fit. Wipe off any excess epoxy glue asap.....follow with lots of masking tape....and let it set overnight.

I believe there are some provided screws...so use them.

Here's a pic of Indio's TTE install....this pic is a classic....I still remember this pic after 4 yrs.

Ummmm...i think he needs a bit more tape.

TexasGS has a nice writeup too...

ah true true, i forgot about that haha we actually switched to epoxy bck in the day because the tape was failing. Good catch. I'd like to add that self tapping screws would prob work pretty good if the provided ones arent that already.
