Seat memory not working
Well, I found one thing that does not work on my 2000 GS400. I brought it into Lexus tonight to get another key made and I had the tech's look at it briefly. They said it would need to be pulled into the shop to be looked at...
I said nah, I had to get home. So it doesn't work, and I really don't care that much, but the whole thing does not work....none of the 3 buttons. Are these things common for blowing fuses or having bad switches?
Also, my car has 35,000 on it. I am not sure if the warranty is still good on it. If so, I'd rather bring it to them to have them do it, but I have a feeling it's way out of warranty.

if i were you, i would start by checking the fuses. If none are blown, it could be something stupid from when they made another key. I'd say reset the ecu (disconnect negative battery cable for 15min or so) and then try it again. You may lose your radio presets but its a small price to pay. If neither of those work, then i would have to guess it has to do with the wiring in your power seat setup, likely a loose connection somewhere.

has your battery been disconnected at all? did you try reprogramming your seat setting by holding down the set and number button at the same time? sometimes these settings get cleared out.. i had my car worked on a while ago and they had to disconnect the battery.. when i got back in, i thought the seat memory buttons weren't working either.. turned out it just had to be reprogrammed...
