I Have A 2004 GS 300 with navi, but the touch screen dont work. so i was wondering if i can take out the navi and add a climate control from another 98-05 GS. Because the A/C is hooked up to the navi. so is it possible for me to take out the navi and use a regular A/C control from a 98-05 GS that doesnt have navi...
Also i wanted to know if the wiring harness is the same for the A/C....

It can be done, but it is not plug and play. My friend who owns an audio shop often gets cars in from used car dealerships to have stereos intalled or fixed. A GS with a broken NAV screen came in that they wanted him to get working again. Cost for the NAV screen was well over $1000 so he just swapped in a standard non NAV climate control and added a double DIN aftermarket navigation system instead. I honestly don't know what modifications to the wires he did, but it really is as simple as finding the right wires. Total cost was still cheaper than replacing the OEM NAV screen. Although my 03 NAV screen is still working perfectly, I'm thinking of swapping it out for an aftermarket double DIN NAV and standard climate control as well.

I was considering how to do this. I have the stock Nav but since it doesn't play MP3/WMA or have an auxillary input, I wanted to put an aftermarket touch screen unit. I figured since the controls are integrated on the stock Nav din, I would have to downgrade to Non-nav controls, then buy a double-din kit for the new aftermarket unit.
