Default Gas Tank Location

So I've purchased 2 Kicker amps to power my system... A ZX400.1 and a ZX350.4.

I would like to mount these on the shelf in the rear of the trunk area, but I think the gas tank may be under there.

Could anyone confirm if it is alright to mount the amps there. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

you can mount the amps there. The gas tank is underneath the rear seats.

So basically I can mount the amps there with any size screw I choose and not have to worry about it, correct?

pretty much. I mean I wouldn't go using a 3" deck screw or anything like that, but yeah, that's where I mounted my amp.

I know the question was already answered, but to reassure you, I in fact do have my capacitor and amp mounted there and the wires are even run underneath the carpet for a pretty streamline look. Hope any of that helps...

Very nice. I was planning on running the wires underneath the carpet as well. Thanks.

BTW, those smoked tails on your ride look pretty damn sweet.

Well I took a little look at Circuit City and decided to grab the following.

Pioneer AVIC-F700BT
2 pairs of 4" Polk Audio door speakers that run at 4 ohms
2 Kicker CVR 12"ers at 2 ohms
Kicker ZX400.1
Kicker ZX350.4

I'm getting 400 watts rms to the subs. The subs have an 800 watt rms capability, but I'm not looking to go that loud.

The door speakers on the other hand are getting a little overpowered at 65 watts rms each on 4 ohms with the ZX350.4.

What kind of GS do you have must be a special edition to have 5.25 speakers in front

I did the install.... 4" all around door speakers and I didn't play with the stock sub(just left it) and I believe it is a 10". I will have pics of my install on here shortly.

Bought the Kicker loaded enclosure.

Amps and cap. I had a cap from one of my other installs so I figured it couldn't hurt to use it.

Next mod.... A 3 piece JP spoiler.... OEM spoiler brake light rattles like hell and there is no way to get rid of it other than removing it. Oh well...
