I am new to this forum and I just bought a 99' GS300 a couple weeks ago. For some reason, everytime I press the unlock button my parking lights don't flash (OEM remote key). It gets really annoying because when I lock the car w/ the remote the parking lights flashes and at other times the lights don't flash!!! Not really sure if I should just take the damn car straight to the dealership so they can diagnose the problem. Am I missing something here? I've read about the C-Best setting and I am aware that it can only be set with a tool from the dealership. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

The only thing that comes to mind with me is when I hit the unlock button once, it flashes, and it might do it one more time after that... But if you keep hitting it they will not continue to flash if all doors are unlocked. So are you rapidly pushing it before you get to the car?

No, I'm not rapidly pushing the remote....

Sometimes the remote does not respond. I see that the lights are flashing "red" inside the cabin which indicates that the battery is still good. I usually press the remote once to unlock the driver side and press it again to unlock all doors. Doors are locking fine...just the lights are not flashing consistently like it's suppose to. Just wanted to know if other members are experiencing the same thing...

Most likely, one or more of the door lock actuators is bad at times. When you push the remote to unlock the doors and one on the door locks do not work, the light will not flash. It does not detect the doors unlock, so it won't flash, telling you there is a problem with the locks.
