Just because the lights are off does not mean the codes are gone. You can still have the system checked to find out what went wrong. Its a good idea so you can prepare yourself for when it happens again.

Agreed...

Also, have you done anything to the car lately? Changed the spark plugs, added an air intake etc etc?

This happen to me before. I had a bad MAF sensor. I installed a new one and the problem never came back.

P0121: Throttle (TP)/Pedal Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance Fault.

Either your TP Sensor is bad or your ECM is bad. Really no chance of the later so just replace the sensor.
