I came across this picture in the Silver GS thread a while ago. I always liked the look of this setup on other cars. Anyone have more pics of GS's with this inset painted black or dark gray? With or with out a kit.

Also what are your thoughts on this look? I searched and could not find any past threads on this.

I like it. Reminds me of my BMW with sports package and NSX. Give the car a sporty look IMHO

By the way, that car does have a rear lip kit, so perhaps a photoshop of a stock GS rear bumper might give you a better idea on how it will actually look like.

Looks good. A sporty cue needed on this car if that's your cup 'o tea... I'll try a matte charcoal or black graphic to make sure I like it first.

IMHO, i say, unless you're jeff tsai and blowing everyone away at the track, dont do it; but thats just me

to me it looks like a mini rear diffuser as on the G35s and NSX' i've seen. cosmetically, when i glance at it, it hints to me...FAST but i think it also depends which direction you're taking your car as well

I was thinking of picking up some black vinyl and giving this look a shot. I am really digging it and from the responses here it sounds like most everyone agrees.

I would of done the same thing if I had a non-black GS. I ended up doing a mesh insert on the stock rear bumper.. I believe Bob (socalgs4) has the rear bumper valence on his blue GS done in carbon fiber shot over with clearcoat paint to make it appear factory.

I agree that it adds a sportiness to the look of the car. Here is a quick sloppy Photoshop on my car. My car should be lowered by next month and possibly have wheels too.
