The black painted lower sections visually raise the car and make it look higher off the ground

I sort of like the black on the hood, but I think a "sportier" grille is needed (like TRD) to pull-off that look.

- Carbon fiber overlay on roof.
- Front bumper and sideskirts with black strip on the bottom.

What do you guys think about this custom paint design?

Like it or hate it please let me know!
i think if you want to do the 2-tone, leave the hood CF, do the CF overlay on the roof, maybe even a CF overlay on the top of the trunklid, then paint the pillars black to the window line to clean everything up. the lip idea is fine, just do the rear too to even it out or it'd look funny.

much outside of that, i'd say just do the c/f hood and c/f roof overlay, and either do the c/f hood completely white or no paint at all and do the lip exactly the way you said + the back.

Ok, I just dropped it off at the body shop. I just told them to paint everything white. I'll add on vinyl on top afterwards to see how I like the look. If I don't then I can just peel it off

Bob made the same point I was just about to make. painting the lower portions of the front bumper and sides would make the car look "higher" White imo is a hard color to do things with. Not sure if you had the motor pulled but painting the engine bay would be one of the 1st thing I would do. I know its already white from Lexus but if you got that resprayed and cleared it would than be shiny like the exterior of the car and will make a huge difference when you pop your hood. I know yyou already have an attention grabber with your swap and single but with the bay painted and cleared it will really really pop. Exterior wise I like the idea of the CF roof overlay on white. I think the CF hood with painted sides would look really good. Ther was a member from chicago who had it done, I wish i could remember his name so I could search for his pics. He painted the sides on a CF hood and it look real good on white. An overlay on the trunk like CarbonGS did would flow and complete the subtle cf two tone. I know I'm late but better late than never.

Good luck..

Hey Jeff,

I was wondering where you were getting the carbon fiber roof overlay?

Thanks!

I just had a wicked idea... maybe it's too late.

How about the center section of the hood in white carbon fiber?

You know, like Lexus has in the IS-F on the center console.

Subtle, trick, cool, unique.

I would be all over this.

Also, here's the LF-A roof:

I think you could get a similar finish by using a regular carbon fiber and spraying it with silver or white candy/clear.
Or just use that silver C/F fabric.

I also think I need to change my shorts! Sickness!

If you can find pictures of Jay's car, he painted his hood like the picture.

agreed and maybe a cf trunk would really tie it all together
