Default I need a new Cat converter in my 2001 GS 430

Anyone ever put a Eastern Catalytic Converter in their Gs 430? the dealer was quoting $1297.00 just for the part and I think I found one with a 5 yr 50k mile warrenty on it. Not in a huge hurry to replace it but i was wondering if anybody had any good experiences w this company as I keep coming up w $197.00 replacements on the internet vs $1200 dollar OEM cc from lexus>

cat is cat, i dont think it matters. dealers need to pay for their employees and rent of the lot etc. of course they are more expensive. just got for the 200 dollar one

just eliminate the cat, screw global warming Off topic but it just made me laugh because someone is going around the parking lot in the middle of shifts cutting the cats of off vehicles high enough to get under at my work..im guessing to recycle for money, but whats weird is they've smashed 3 windshields over about 2 months and UPS still cant catch them.

Im starting to get that smell too. I went to go visit my dad and when I started my car he goes "ohhh, is your cat starting to go bad". I actually am going to emissions saturday at noon, we'll see what they think

i think high flow cat will be better you get less restriction and get more power and cheaper then OEM unless your looking for used one.

that smell is most likely you have some kinda of plastic bag stick to the muffler pipe or something that smells really bad and it won't go away for long long time. i had to scrape mine off from the pipe.
