My 02 GS300 gets about 22 mpg mixed... approx. 35% hwy, 30% stop and go traffic, and 35% city. I'm in LA and half my commute I'm sitting in traffic.

We run a Scangauge on our both GS300 and GS400.
When I compared the two on my commute there was not much difference.

Commute one way 27.2 mile, max speed 65, avg speed 45, mpg 28.2 on the GS300 and 26.8 on the GS400.

I get 23mpg to 25mpg per tank on both cars depending on which one does the most in town driving, mostly it's the wifey out shopping on her days off that gets the lower numbers.

I love my GS400, POWER on tap all the time...and she loves her GS300 'cause it's nice.

Never sell that 80 you will always need her for something and she will always be there for you.
We have a 91 and her name is "Betsy" she is always there for us.
