Not mine, my gs4 always starts from first even in normal mode. If I'm braking before stoplight, and suddenly stoplight turns green, and car is still rolling 8mph, it starts from first too. So I have to be gently with pedal, r it will jump forward lol

I thought that it starts in 2nd gear when you turn on the snow mode to cut wheel spin, and otherwise would start normally in 1st. Maybe I read that wrong. My 400 jumps pretty easily off the line, it took me a little bit to get a feel for starting off smoothly. I drove someone elses car the other day and noticed how much more effort it took to accelerate. The GS it seems like I barely hit the gas and I'm going 30.

The same thing happens to me. Sometimes I just press it lightly and the car lurks forward. I think it's because of the whole thing where the ECU memorizes your driving style. Like there are times when I'm accelerating normal and the car is overrevving but not accelerating as it should because it's expecting me to be mashing the gas.

Just disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 10 - 15 minutes and you should be fine ... And yea it's alright to do, you can do it as many times as you'd like, but remember that you will lose your seat memory positions and your set radio stations. Just redo them, and you'll also need to set the time lol

That sounds accurate. My car doesn't feel sluggish off the line, I just thought I remembered hearing that about the 2nd gear start. Maybe I thought that because in manual mode it doesn't let you shift below 2?

You're right. Only in snow mode it starts from second.

You can pull the ECU fuse for about 30 minutes so that you don't lose your presets.
