Question Red Spray or Film?

I'm looking to get my inner tail light housings to look red again rather than the current faded pink. What would be a better option, red spray or red film?

This stuff...

or

this stuff?

LED FTW

just kidding. i'd go with the spray on the inside of the lens, just make sure you sand and prep well and apply evenly and allow it to dry long enough before resealing. My friends have had good luck with that stuff, doing redouts and whatever. The film i think would fade kind of quickly with the combo of sun/light coming behind it.

I've had good luck with the yellow film so far on my 3000k HID foglights. It all depends if you can tuck it around the back so the seam of the film is hidden.

I'd say go with the spray. At least that way you can make it as dark as you want. If the film show's up un-even then your stuck with 2 different color lenses..

Spray works good, that's what I used, but film inside and spray outside might give you better results... GL

From what I've read when I searched, the 01+ tail lights don't resist fading any better than the 98-00. So, that in turn would be an necessary expenditure if the problem will be the same within the next few years. As for the LED's, can't say that I don't like them, but, most of the patterns out there for the LED's are just downright stupid and don't increase braking visibility. The one's that do increase visibility, are an arm and a leg, and really... I don't want to deal with that right now when my tail lights are perfectly fine. I believe in the RominL school of thought...

FWIW, i have an 01 with the original OEM inners and through the last 7 years of harsh new england weather they still look brand new...dunno if that has anything to do with the quality of the light itself but who knows.

if you got sonar LED tails and led inners, you'd be surprised the increase in visibility. Or, get mega-bright red or white 7440 LED bulbs and rock with those.

paint them with red paint that has been thinned down with alot of paint thinner. same thing here but black was used as opposed to red.
