So was thinking of painting over the wood grain, around the gauge cluster and around the air vents in the center above the radio. I have a silver 2001 and would color match it to the exterior and have it professionaly done. I know that most of you would never do this mod but i think it will give the car more of a sporty look. I am just testing the waters here and am not 100% going to do this, but wanted to get some outside reactions. Thanks for your opinions-

I think highly polished with a whole lot of clear coats could look neat but not for me.

A quick search turned up this old thread. GlobeCLK did the exact mod you are describing even down to the color.
