Default 'vsc' and 'power' buttons

What exactly happens when I press the "power" button on the center consol? I notice the light come on but that's it.

Also, when I press the "vsc off" button, nothing lights up and nothing changes about how the car behaves.

Am I doing something wrong? what should I look for?

Thanks!

I don't know what's up with your VSC light, maybe it's out. Anyway, when you press the VSC buton, the traction control is turned off. So when you turn a corner and nail it, the tire will slip and spin as opposed to when it's on, the car will automatically apply the brakes to get the tire to stop spinning and gain traction.

When you press the 'power' button the car whines out each gear, stretches out the gears which means it changes the shifting points to gain the most power or shifting in the power band. Press the power button and stand on it, you'll feel a difference. If not, get a tune up.

Welcome to CL!

Lexism pretty much summed it up, you should have a light on in the dash when you turn VSC (vehicle skid control) off, your bulb must be burnt out or something. With the power button on it switches the shift points when you floor it and downshifts more aggresively for better performance.

Happened to notice it's your first post and Lexism's 1,111th post. Weird coincidence but I'm drunk so what do I know! Guaranteed no one else cares!
