If I end up doing the switch I would rather try to sell my car as a Blk/Blk GS 300 SD (since that was a color choice) than probably having to market it as just another GS 300 because tan interior would make it a standard car.

I'll keep you posted though. See what happens.

Considering current economic conditions and comparable cars that you guys have seen, can you give me some estimates of what would be a good/fair price OTD for this car?

I am just wondering where I should be at. My thought is low 15K range as I have seen some others around there.

I just spoke to the guy from the dealership where the car is located and this is what he told me:

They're a small dealership that purchases mostly high end off-lease cars which I guess makes sense considering this 430: One owner, 63K, great condition etc. He said they don't typically mark their cars up very much and for that reason there is some, but not a whole lot of room to bargain. He said he doesn't think it's possible to get the car OTD for the $15K range.

So...what is my next step? I think I am going to counter and tell him that I strongly feel that the car is in the $15K range based on what I have seen for other GS 430s and that I am willing to pay a fair price for it, but won't go above and beyond comparable cars.

Thoughts? Advice?

sorry to bring back such an old thread, I just wasn't feeling up to searching for any NEWER threads from MPLexus301...to see WHAT'S NEW! Soooo... did you ever buy a black/black GS430!? Dude, the idea of the saddle leather in a BLACK 430 would be sooooo sweet. The "Sport Design" headlights aren't even particularly that much sweeter than the '01+ greenish housings, IMO... but that SADDLE leather is SOOOOOO SWEET!!

I like your GS3 Sport Design, to be honest... but I knew that 220 ft/lb or torque wouldn't even come CLOSE to satisfying my driving "needs".... so I limited my search for a GS to a mint GS400 or GS430. I ended up opting for the 430, b/c of the navigation and Mark Levinson (wow- did I make a mistake thinking the ML would be "soooo great", though. From what I've heard... I think I'd rather have a Nakamichi stereo, over the ML, anyday)

But- yeah... I just wanted to see if you were still considering buying a 430 and doing that swap, or not.

I got a black/saddle gs430 ssssssshhhhhhhhh(i try and lay low on here)... Hopefully with a sportdesign on the way(fingers crossed)..The possibilites could be endless..
