CSHFLW,

If the filter works for you... power to you man. As a suggestion, if you truly want a cold air effect you can have a fabrications shop tap a 3 1/8" diameter opening through the structural area under your the factory intake/or aftermarket intake area. You can either get an air scoop or cold air pipe and send it through the area before the front right pre-wheelwell (thats were the factory V300 intercooler goes... plenty of cool air if your car moves. This modification will not significantly reduce the GS's structural integrity (I am basing this on the Aristo).

Regarding a fake intercooler you can probably get a hybrid radiator that looks like an intercooler but in front of your A/C condenser. It might actually be pretty beneficial to the GS as an active heatsink... remember our cars come standard with a 5 fin Koyo radiator that is used to cool off the tranny, engine, motor oil, etc... I would of used at least a 19,000 GVW separate tranny cooler and a 6 fin radiator combo.

I just like it cuz it looks nicer....

About the radiator...I need something to fill the huge hole in the front bumper (win kit)....I looked at some tranny coolers and oil coolers but all seem too small or ugly (black not polished or silver like an intercooler)...any suggestions

Black 2mm thich mesh grill for now... it will help conceal the tranny cooler. I avoid using an aftermarket oil cooler for now... you don't want the oil to be too cold on start-up especially when you're not running upper 4000+ RPM upon start-up. A engineer over at Earl's told me that this might lead to bogging. Get one when you are running a large single turbo with an oil line.

CSHFLW,

If you want polished or bare aluminum tranny coolers I recommend Earl's or Blitz.

whoops, sorry....

yea, got my intake replaced. look at your tube, notice what side the air diffuser is on....on the bad pipe it's next to the MAF hole on the good pipe it's next to the throttle body side.....The intake also fits perfect now....only problem is I can't get the pipe to polish up very well....

and talk to chris W. at weapon R and tell him that you also have one of the bad GS pipes and that you are from clublexus....

I have no idea how big the exhaust opening is, 6-8inchs ??? I'll check some time....

Any websites, pics, or prices?

And wouldn't a tranny cooler/intercooler block off most of the air to the radiator? If it was a large sized one?
