Check the passenger side fuse cabinet. It's near the right hand side of the foot rest. The black panel has a listing of what fuses are where.
To check a fuse:
Pull it out, and shine a light on it. If there are black areas in the middle of the fuse, it has burnt out, is on its way to being shorted. You can find fuses for cheap at Radioshack. If you head down to Radioshack, let me know. I'll give you my employee discount.

My cigarette lighter is dead but the recepticle in the console still works.
I checked the fuse on the driver side footwell and it says something like: cig/console. The fuse seems to be fine and I think this is telling me both are on the same circuit.
How do I get my cig. lighter working again? I want to use a plug for my GPS there.
Thanks.

I'm having a similar problem. The cig lighter in the console works, but the one in the ashtray doesn't.
I haven't checked the fuse yet. However, I did check the leads of the ashtray lighter and it gives me 11.6v. So I guess it's the lighter itself that is burnt.
I read somewhere (LOC UK i think) the lighter burns out when too much power is drawn from it. A connection in the rear will burn out. This should be an easy fix, just resolder the connection.
Edit:
Just took apart the cig lighter. Nothing seems wrong with it. I also saw that the ashtray and cig lighter share a light bulb which I've never seen lit... So I'm gonna check the fuse.

I would go thru it and replace the fuse on the cig fuse on the driver/passenger side fuse box. I've had a problem before and it was just a hairline fracture of the fuse and when I looked at it it looked fine till I just replaced it with a new fuse and it worked fine. Cheap fix if it is if not than move on to the next possible solution
