GS SportDesign info from CarsDirect
Was just on CarsDirect and noticed that they have the upcoming SportDesign listed with the following options:
SportDesign Edition w/Navigation & Audio : $5,878
• Leather Trim Package w/SE/SF.
• Memory System For Driver's Seat .
• Leather Seat Trim w/Perforated Seat Inserts .
• Lexus In-Dash 6-CD Auto Changer .
• Power Tilt/Slide Moonroof w/Sunshade .
• Black Walnut Shift Lever .
• Tires: P225/55VR16 Performance
tires with 225mm width, 16.0" rim .
• Wheels: 16 in. Polished Aluminum Alloy .
• Navigation System .
• Mark Levinson Premium Audio .
• Euro-Tuned Suspension .
• SportDesign Metal Badge On Front Fender .
• Includes leather steering wheel, black walnut interior trim, unique SportDesign chrome grille, SportDesign aluminum scuff plates and SportDesign inlaid logo in center console..
What's interesting is that HID lights doesn't seem to be listed...usually it's included as part of the ML Package. Anyone know if the SportDesign will include HID lights?
BTW, new to the board. Former Lexus owner, Current A6 owner; soon to be new Lexus owner...

Hey,
Thanks for the info Michael. I am sure many members on the board would be interested in this information, especially those blackwood pieces that can be retrofitted
I am also questioning whether HID's come with the Sport Design GS300. What's always bugged me is that HID's are STANDARD on the IS300 (and new ES300 I *think*) and both cars are ~10k cheaper than the GS300. What gives?

I just noticed that Heated Seats are not part of the SportDesign package either...at least according to CarsDirect.
Having had HID lights on my A6, I feel that they are an important safety feature to have. I don't think I'd ever go back to a car without them.

Yea, HID's are definitely an important safety feature. Imagine when HID's become standard even on entry level cars, oncoming traffic will constantly be blinding!! I think part of the "coolness" of HIDs/xenons is they're novelty and rarity....let's keep it that way
Btw Michael, welcome to the forums!! Always glad to see a first day member contributing already! Glad to have you...

Actually, I don't think i've ever been blinded by HIDs. I find SUVs with their fog lights on to be much more distracting...
