Question

Anyone had any experiences removing the drive shaft on their rear wheel Lex for any reason?
I'm going to be replacing the coupling (rubber piece between the drive shaft and the rear differential, as it has a tear in it causing heavy vibration)
Do I need to disconnect it from the transmission??

Any help would be appreciated, where's a manual when you need one huh?

Default Driveshaft R&R

Tom - I just dropped the D/S as 1 piece when I put my TC in. Might have enough slack via the spider bearing ( U joint ) that U don't havta disconnect at the tranny. If U need to remove the propeller ( rear driveshaft ) shaft, be sure & use some matchmarks on the shaft & mounting flanges to reinstall as U took it off. Also watch that adjusting nut - it's pretty tight ( took me using two 36" pipe wrenches & some muscle to loosen it ).
