Default Stock height front bar/lip?

hey guys,

the more i look at my 2GS, the less i like the raised centre bit of the front bar (althought it is practical i guess).

now most kits i see (and/or like) have very simple skirts and rear. to be honest i dont mind the OEM skirts and rear. So really i only want to change the front bar.

Now i dont mind the TTE Lip but i dont really like it. And it sits a bit lower compared to the OEM stuff. So my question is, are there any front bars or lips or anything that sit pretty much stock height so i dont have to get a full kit? Also, i dont want the car any lower than it is and i dont want to raise it. So i just want the bar the same height as the stocker.

if anyone can point anything out that would be awesome.

regards
Ant

The TTE doesn't really hang that much lower, it mainly fills out the raised centre bit which i also hate.
I think the TTE lip is probably the best choice if you don't want to go much lower as most of the other lips are alot lower.

How about the K-Break front bar, looks kinda similar height to stock, or at least similar to a stock bumper with TTE.

yeh i thought that might be the case, with TTE being my only choice.

love the K-Break kit but it does sit like 20-25mm lower i think like most of the Aimgain kits and etc so it would look strange. Also, it has those big bump strip things on it and they would look completely out of place without having them on the back bumper too like the full kit has. (i did consider this before!)

all depends on your car's current stance.
tte isnt bad, imho, a lot of guys have it; just depends how you get it installed.

currently the car is lowered so it looks good but is still practical. the stock bodywork is about 100-110mm from the ground, stock exhaust etc is about 80-85mm. rear tyre tread is tucked, front is just in line/tiny bit under. if i got a front bar that sits 20-25mm lower it will bring the bodywork to the height of the exhaust, and i scrape the exhaust fairly often :P
