Hey man,
try to not respond negatively when someone criticizes your choice. It is a public form and you did ask for opinions. Just cause someone doesn't like your choices are not reason enough to lose your cool. Besides, they will think they are right or they got to you by responding negatively. It really doesn't matter what others think when it gets down to the nitty.
For those who think black wheels are played out, I beg to differ. What's played out is all the peeps who jumped on the fad a couple years ago. My first set of aftermarket wheels was some black Enkei 5-spokes about 20 years ago. Some of you aren't that old and may not remember....or you were too youing. Black or color matched wheels will never play out. The market is under a correction is all.
Whomever said black was easier to care for must have never had colored wheels. Think about the paint on your car having to constantly deal with debris, water, dirt, etc. Colored wheels have to be waxed often to keep their beauty. I'd say at least every other month. Chrome is the easiest finish to care for. Wax 2-4 times a year and clean with mild soap and you're good.
My choice, for a black car there's nothing like black on black with a chrome lip.

I like black rims as they work well on certain color cars. I do like black rims on white cars and on black cars given a certain theme. In this case, I could go either way, but I'm leaning a bit toward the black rims. It has enough polished lip for contrast so it doesn't look like painted stock rims or race rims.
