Talking Whats this hose for??

so i opened my hood and i saw this.. WTH?? can anyone help me please. Im clearly a noob.

on the second pic, thats where it belong. i dont know what happen but its broken for sure. maybe you can glue it back together.

correct me if im wrong guys, but that looks like a hose connected to one of the PCV valve. lets see what the other guys/experts say

It's the PCV valve output which connects back to the intake. Burns off the 'evaporated' oil/smoke back into the engine. More environmentally friendly or something I guess. It looks like the fitting got snapped clean off, that usually takes quite a bit of force to do. You have 3 options.

1. Glue the fitting back on the intake pipe.
2. Tap a new metal fitting onto the pipe and reconnect the rubber hose.
3. Tape or seal off the hole on the intake pipe and just leave the hose hanging.

Either of those will work fine.

Thanks guys! question.. will it affect performace or damage the engine later on if not done right? right now it idles fine. however on the freeway it doesnt pick up speed 0-60mph in 15 sec. Its prob my 20" chrome rims?

if it doesnt affect performance ill take one of the options above. Thanks Jefftsai!
