Not sure....and, I would be VERY hesitant to cluge (?) together anything for something as important as the airbag.
connectors are just a less permanent way to connect the wires. i'm not sure what cluge means, but as long as the battery is disconnected while you're doing it you won't have to worry about it popping out on you.
this is the picture of the TRD steering wheel. It will fit the GS, but according to CarsonTuned, the airbag won't deploy on impact. So it doesn't really work?

that looks like theres only a ground coming from the connector. I would think you would have to do a little wiring to get it to work but it should be doable.

So there is more than 1 ground on the airbag for the GS? Could you explain? thanks.

no, i'm saying the only wire coming out of the connector is a ground, there's nothing else wired to it, thus if you transposed your wiring over from your stock unit it should work.

I think if you look closer at the picture, especially in the center of the airbag charge, you'll see 2 orange colored wires that appear to be covered under the opaque white plastic assembly. These appear to be attached to the white connector in the foreground of the picture that is out of focus.

The TRD steering wheel looks fantastic.. The first time I laid my eyes on theTRD steering wheel was on Martin Kraft's Gs400 on overboost.com back in 2000. I am suprised the airbag wiring harness is not compatible with the Gs400

That's where I first saw it too, on Martin Kraft's GS400. It is simply amazing.
I don't know how Steve found out that the airbag won't deploy on impact. I guess that someone with that steering wheel got into an accident and it did not deploy? Otherwise it would say "harness not plug-and-play" instead of "won't deploy on impact".

That is the inside of his car! That steering wheel is perfect for a sport inspired GS.. Seeing his car online inspired me.. I don't believe he is/was a CL member.
