What I did, was purchased a used alternator from salvage yard. Then I took it to a shop here in town and they rebuilt/rewound it to my specs. They are able to build it just as good or better than those high end ones you buy. They come with a waranty....and since I bought another alternator, my car wasnt down during the build up. And for a spare, I have my OEM stock one just in case its needed.

Hmmm I'm definitely look into throwing the lincoln internals into the lexus housing... 135amps should suffice... for now...

my lights dim when my stereo is on, as well as my idle drops.

I bought 14 gauge wire to upgrade the big 3 first and if that doesn't work, I'm going to get a bigger alt. thanks guys

14 gauge wire isnt going to do anything stock is 6 why would you go smaller? If you want to do the big 3 than 0 gauge is the best but 4 gauge would suffice.
