Default Camcon A/F controller

Does the Camcon A/F controller (in reference to its ability to adjust the vvti) do the same thing as an adjustable cam gear?
thanks

There are similar, but the Camcon works on the intake cam while the adjustable cam gear can only be used in the exhaust cam.

Does the Camcon work on both the intake and the exhaust cam? or just the intake? I guess my real question is, if I bought the Camcon, would I waste my money with a Cam gear.
Thanks

he just told you this.

the camcon will work to adjust the intake cam. a cam gear will work to adjust the exhaust cam. Installing both will allow you complete control from two separate entities.

yes, but it was worded in a way that it could have been implied that the Camcon could control both, (when he used the word "only" it implied that the Camcon could do either or both..)i was just double checking...goodness...

Camcon controls VVT, which is intake cam "only".
Cam gears such as HKS, etc. can "only" be used on the exhaust cam on the GS300 2nd gen do to VVT.
I hope this anwsered your question
