how are you supposed to apply touch up paint ?
i called the dealer and they told me its a 2 stage process b/c the paint is pearl! i duno whatsup can someone fill me in?? my car is black cherry pearl!

I can tell you this much dont use any sand paper, bc my bumper looks my kid took a key to it. I used the Autozone repair kit and boy was the a huge mistake. Lexus dealer said it would run $340 for a fix... I'd say let the pros handle it.

most touch up paints are not exactly te same as factory paint, you''ll apply to paint using the aplicator gently and lightly, dont over do it,wait till it dries and repeat until even as smooth,it wont look ''perfect'' but better then what it was

if im gona pay 350 i might as well get the whole bumper resprayed. i just want the lil nicks and rockchips in the various areas touched up! then i will get a clear bra installed! rock chips and dark paint= no bueno

Here is the best write up I have ever seen on repairing chips/scratches. Check it out. For the best look sand paper is definitely needed (IMO) BUT you must use a super fine grit and have the equipment to buff it out when you are done otherwise it will look dull and hazed.
