I can tell you this much dont use any sand paper, bc my bumper looks my kid took a key to it. I used the Autozone repair kit and boy was the a huge mistake. Lexus dealer said it would run $340 for a fix... I'd say let the pros handle it.

most touch up paints are not exactly te same as factory paint, you''ll apply to paint using the aplicator gently and lightly, dont over do it,wait till it dries and repeat until even as smooth,it wont look ''perfect'' but better then what it was

ie-the bigger the touch up the harder it is,good luck

use a toothpick! It will fill in the fine lines with minimal clump. and if you're any good with a buffer and your isnt black or any other dark color... apply it, wet sand it with some 2000 and 4000 grit sand paper then do some buffing.

Haven't tried the sandpaper thing, but the toothpick thing works! Or a q-tip. Usually Lexus has touch-up pens, though, that make it REALLY easy.

Here is the best write up I have ever seen on repairing chips/scratches. Check it out. For the best look sand paper is definitely needed (IMO) BUT you must use a super fine grit and have the equipment to buff it out when you are done otherwise it will look dull and hazed.

I was gonna try to dig up that thread when I saw the title of this thread! I don't know anything about touching up the two-stage pearl though. Try the detailing section, there's probably someone over there who is experienced with it. Good luck!
