Hmmm...I'm glad I read this as i am abouot to build a set of black housing OEM HID's. Bought two **** non HID lamps and taking the inner housing, painting it balck and installing into myHID ones. I always heard 125 degress and have a friend who has done it so I figure better to go low settings first and go from there.

Hey, I now this is a little late for this but my experience is 200*F, once it reaches temp, turn the oven off. Put the light on a baking pan, and put it in the over for 10 mins. Remove it, and it will be hot enough that the epoxy/glue is soft, use a tool to get a little space between the lens and the housing and just work to make the space bigger, and the rest is history. Sorry to hear about your misfortune, it's not the end of the world. You can easily find a spare housing.
