Default Would you go to Toyota

Ok, so I just picked up my 98 Gs 300 and it is leaking oil, slightly. The last repairs to the engine were in March of this year. The car hass 240k but runs like a top. The notes from the last repair shop said that the variable timing cam shaft pulley leaks. Lexus says the per hour charge is 120/hr. Well since it is a Supra motor, would you go to toyota for the repair? The work accomplished in March was, timing belt, idler etc.

As my first Lexus, and a commuter, this is a great addition to the family. However, I dont want to be taken to the cleaners on repair or do anything that would shorten its lifespan.

Thanks in advance and all input is GREATLY appreciated.

You can go to toyota but I would just go to an independent shop with a good rep.

Toyota might refuse to service your car if there is a local Lexus service Dept.

i would take it to a reputable Lexus service tech and/or someone who surely knows their way around the Lexus build; i.e. ^
