Default My 1999 GS300

She's been a good car for the 11 months I've had her
Bought her with 47,000 miles; Just rolled over 55400 this past week

Its my second car..
came from..

A 1994 Integra GSR with guess how many miles?
82,000 miles (when I sold her).
It had the usual boltons + Blox Stage 1.5 cams/Titanium Valvesprings/Retainers..
Sold her less than what I bought her for even though I put nearly a grand in; If I had known about the gas price crunch I would've kept her.

So then I was carless; my Senior year of High School for about 6 weeks; which really whomped. Not as bad as the time I killed the clutch of the GSR because I was ticked off because of a girl............(I started to swap the clutch) but since I needed to study I was only able to work on it on Saturdays, and I had a conflicting act the next weekend..So I had no car for 4 weeks..well a car on jackstands for 4 weeks....

I had the $$ from the GSR in the bank (which my parents had given me 1/2 for the GS-R..Then another 3500 I had earned(in the summer after the purchase of the GSR).

I wanted a 1st gen IS300; My parents at first wanted me to get an autotragic car (then as long as the car was not coined sporty I was fine to get it)...For those wondering...no I did not get in any trouble with the GSR while I had it.......; (I said I was going to state college or UC) so they basically said they will spot me up to 8000 on top on what I had.

I looked on autotrader..and what do I see?...
a GS300 with a said 40k miles on the ad...I call it and sure enough the car is there.........I go see it with my father, he drives it(he usually doesn't) I get his approval and my mother's....and chaching...err kerplunt..look at it either way..
Carfax was clean....I also called SouthBay Lexus and they had service records until 36k which meant I only had about 10k undocmented miles on the car....
Soooo then...good news...
I get the car.
-I was a bit irratated at the seller for stating she had 40k miles when indeed it was over 47k but oh well...

She was mostly stock until this summer.
I'll be starting off in Chronological order
I guess her first real mod done by the original owner
Ltuned grille

RIP Buddy

A Happy Car is a Clean Car......I gave up on keeping Onyx Black clean at the start of college..(a few months ago)........

The next post below will contain the mods

Default First mods= Routine Maint.

First week of owning her I swap the oil out......
Then within 3000 miles...screeeeeeech uhoh..
Brake pads were done for in the front(swapped those out too).....
Got to know the car well
Went to tour UCSC over spring break
Got 26mpg on AVG with the 16's.......

I'll miss her if I ever do sell her some day....
She's been there for my first job (I'll be there for awhile); HighSchool; Prom; College So far

Interesting Story About Prom: I wanted to Take my car...parent's did not want me driving at 1AM; Especially with someone else in the car..So we ended up going in a Chrysler 300 :thud:

-My mom can't take pictures to save her life.....I guess my abilities make up for it.......
Prom Day..:Thud: I was up for 48 hours prior to this..
Grad Night part1..was this day..I was running off a Starbucks Purple Eye and a monster Java..yay...not...... :Thud:.......
While most kids got home, and slept through I needed to attend a graduation for my non paid internship which I later was hired onto this past summer.....I got home; took a 2 hour nap, cleaned up the GS; Washed it/waxed it/ Vacuumed it, cleaned the seats out, And added new squash air fresheners.........

Ughhh
WHY WHY WHY!!!
....
So the Said Limo Arrives at the meeting- up spot for everyone.. One problem...I'm not there..nor is my date....I'm there at my date's house to pick her up....
Well that's because..
..I'm waiting at her house and when I look at the clock I'm 40 minutes late....
That's because....the hairdresser for my date is running behind schedule.
She arrives at her house...
Floor the GS outta there
She's suprised a Luxury car can chirp its tires...Only if I had a GS4........

My first real mod was adding a Subwoofer.
I had bought a LineOut Converter but never got around to doing it, so right before summer I did.....
Wasn't a huge PITA but it got done..

Next Mod are the wheels; I got a killer deal from a good friend for helping him out.
I need to strip their faces off
19x9 & 19x10 SSR Strusse Agle's

Pardon the brake dust.

Default My next mods:

The next mod:
HID's
Found a person who traded me non HID to HID housings for a retro..
However my non HID housings were mint opposed to these:
I lowered the housings after taking out the servo motors but I still need to go a few degrees lower

Out with the Old in with the new!!

Modding time......
Greddy Street Tuned Exhaust
I was selling some parts for a buddy of mine; I didn't have any strong sellers on it until after I had it on my car.....So I had it on there for about 4 weeks..
Man was she sounded nice! At high RPM's
Peter95 can vouch..Sounded like your MKIV Supra..minus the waste gate action

Went back to Stock..but Deleted the Resonators..Also did the BFI air intake
