Default please help me with more ideas to fix my pinging/detonation (gs430)

Have detonation in all gears at only high rpms. I had pinging when i was stock and now the same amount with the srt intake/ecu. Have tried seafoam in the intake manifold and gas tank, just changed spark plugs too. Only run 93 octane. Your insight would be appreciated.

Start by replacing MAF sensor and O2 sensors, and of course the ECT sensor. They are all relatively inexpensive (about $120 for maf, $120 each O2, and about $40 for ECT sensor).

-check air filter
-double check the pinout for your wiring for the SRT/look for bad connections or shorts
-clean/test maf for replacement
-clean throttle body
-check/replace spark plugs
-check plug wires
-test coil voltage
-test injector voltage
-check fuel filter
-lucas gas treatment in next fillup
-extreme case: compression test
-check knock sensor
-check PCV
-check head gasket (leaking oil or oil in the spark plug chamber
-if ECU is not readable, your ECU may be going bad.

is it throwing any codes? if you do everything above there's no type of pinging in the world outside of having damaged internals that the above won't fix.

Pinging and knocking on this engine? I run my car pretty hard and have never heard it before lol. Please describe to me what it sounds like exaclty. Maybe my head is just ignoring the sound heh.

x2 on the spark plugs. I'd actually buy a can of seafoam and run the whole bottle through the gas tank.

Just replaced spark plugs last weekend, have run 2-3 cans of seafoam through gas tank within the past 3 months. No CEL.

without a CEL being thrown honestly i've got to think its the ECU possibly going bad.

bad maf, ignition stuff, you'd definitely be getting a CEL for a misfire on one or multiple cylinders.

i'd take it to autozone and have them hook up the scanner to it. Though there is no CEL coming on, there may be previous codes still in the ECU. If they can be read, have them clear it out and then drive the car home, reset the ecu (either the fuse or negative battery cable disconnect for like half an hour), then drive the car for a few days to see if anything comes up. If the ECU cannot be read after 2/3 attempts, your computer is gone (had this happen on my old 99 maxima, scanner i think said something like communication error or to that effect)

good luck

Not quite true. MAF can be off, and sending slightly wrong readings to the ECU - it wont trigger CEL, but you will get bad a/f ratio.

Biggity, the first thing you should check is your MAF and ECT (if you already replaced the spark plugs), and then check the O2 sensors.
