DSP Necessary for Stock ML/Nav Head Unit
Hey guys. I posted this in the Audio/Video section so I thought I'd try here too.
I have the ML Nav head unit in my 2002 GS430 and I'm looking to add a 5ch amp into my car as well as upgrade the front and rear door speakers. I've been around the local shops here and some have told me I need a DSP like a CleanSweep or AudioControl LC6 etc and others said I can just run a high/low converter.
After using the infamous Search feature, I haven't found a clear answer as to if a DSP is needed. I'm looking for clarity and staging with my intended system, USD Audio WaveGuide Components and Mids powered by an old school Soundstream Reference 405S, however I want to make this as easy as possible. I've already replaced my stock sub with a Rockford Punch 10in and it's free air. Thoughts?
