what do you all think. I just got my gs 400 tinted with 17 percent and i love it, but i dont like the windshield being so bright. makes the hole car not look tinted. They are strickt here in Ky so im not to afraid about po po's. Just worried about vision. was thinking of going 35 percent in front. how do you all think visibility will be from inside dark and light. Also will it look right with different percent on sides and back?

remember the windshield is where all that light is coming in to make the other tints look not as dark as the first place. you put 35 percent on that windsheild and you will be getting pulled over as soon as you leave that shop lol. Im pretty sure people do 50 or 60%. Maybe someone else can chime in on that exactly.

i had it 35% on the windsheild and 5% all the way around. looked bad *** but my dad rear ended a bmw the day i had it done....i know what youre thinking. the tint wasnt the reason for the accident lol.

i did 50% on my windshield & i love it
some people don't even notice it till you tell them
i did 20% on my sides & 5% on the back window as well

I agree, 35 looks badd a$$ but you really cant see that well (esp if its raining) at night...I suggest 50%, if you want to go any darker wear shades...

I have 35% on the sides and rear and 50% on the windshield... cops who usually harass everyone leave me alone for the most part... but also because i tinted over my registration window so at a quick glance it doesnt look like my windshield is tinted.

Are you talking about the top strip of the front windshield? Or the entire front windshield?

I know a guy who owns an auto glass tinting shop here....and he tinted his entire front windshield with 20%....and the rest was 5%....it was dark as hell....looked good imo....but it was against the law....and he got tickets for it several times.

whole windshield. I have always had illegal tint in lexington ky and have never had a cop say anything about it even when i was pulled over for something else. Woman that tinted my windows had hers done the same way and said it was great in the day time, but took some adjusting to at night, but wasnt that bad. Anybody have any pics?

I wouldnt go darker than 50% on the front, as there are some things that might be hard to see at night. You can also put a darker strip at the top of the window in 5%. That way it gives the impression that the window isnt tinted in the front (keep the LEO's off your back).

i have mine done with 35% on whole front windshield....here check out the link to it. i have no problems seeing except sometimes at night backing up but hopefully the rear view camera i will probably installing soon will fix this problem
