Default Got my 2gs =)

So the car got here last night. 1999 GS300 with 75k miles.

Spent the rest of the night trying to fix the driver side door. For some reason the door latch part is not closing on the U shaped piece thats bolted to the door. I think it could be something with the door alignment or something. I have tried greasing it and moving it with a screwdriver and it locks and opens correctly and I cant figured out why it wont latch onto the U shaped piece!

This is the piece i'm talking about, also note I know its in the closed position I left like that so the alarm would set. So basically when pushing the door in it would stop short about 1/4 inch and not latch on. Ideas?

Here are a few more pics:

Door handles anyone? Car has a very poorly implemented popper system.

Ugly fenders:

Hard to tell from the pic but its a CF hood and he painted the sides of it. Just the center you can see.

not a bad starting point, a little cash and some elbow grease (not white lith grease as you seem to have used all of it for the door latch ) and you should have a decent ride. definitely agree though, the hood pins and fenders need to go, either a new or different grille, doesn't really need much else. Looks like a pretty good size dent on the passenger rear door though, a result of the shave and popper install maybe

Yea it needs a bit of work on the front end. New grill, new fenders and some side markers.

The biggest thing that I need to address ASAP is the door not closing properly, install a real door popper system since its not worth redoing the handles and get a better alarm. The interior is pretty clean, just needs some dusting and conditioning.
