Default double din aftermarket nav in a nav equipped gs?

I bought a pioneer avic-d3 today and im wanting to put it my lexus but for the life of me I cant seem to find a decent way of doing so. I really would like to put this unit in my gs and all I can find is kit for the non nav GSs. any suggestions? I would really hate to put this unit in my truck.

carson has one, or you can look for one from toyota japan. Carson's is nice, OEM fit and quality but costs about 100 bucks. However, to get that $1k+ navi to look like it came from stock, a c-note is well worth it.

thing is I have the factory navigation already in the car and the kit that carson sells is for the non nav equipped cars. is giving up all the features of the stock nav worth the bluetooth and nav the pioneer unit offers??

I purchased the pioneer on a whim and now im seeing it may be more of a hassle to install in my truck as well..

I really want bluetooth hands free in the car and get rid of my XM screen that is mounted on the vents...but I really dont like the grey background on the ac controls of the non nav equipped cars

what to do??

ah, that makes things a bit more complicated.

now youll have to remove your stock navi, get the double din kit, get a climate control unit from a non-nav car, and then frankenstein that bish together (im kidding, it'll actually come out really good, not to mention youll make a ton of money back selling all the OEM stuff on the classifieds here )

if you dont want to go that far, then you can always sell the d3, we have a mobile audio/video classified on here too

the background is kind of tannish during the day and then green at night on the climate for non nav as that's what i have....it would work pretty well...

well your screen has the navi audio and climate all built in, as well as the tape IIRC, so that will grab some good money as i know the LCDs in our cars tend to go out.

then you have the navi computer, those are HUGE, a lot of guys need to replace theirs.

then you have the cd changer, i'm sure someone needs that.

i can't give you a number though because i don't really look for that kinda stuff (non-nav to nav conversion is kind of tedious and easier to do a D3 like yours) but take a look around.

That is a Toyota Japan part, but Carson does have way better prices than all of the dealers I've dealt with. They usually beat my wholesale discount price from the dealer here at home.
