I think he's asking what kind of metal. It's obviously not plastic or wood.

It's made of steel. Not sure of the specific alloy, but it is ferrous and it's not stainless. The weld quality is not the best in the world either. I would expect more for the crazy $300+ amount you pay for a few metal bars. That might change soon though...top secret projects going on in my secret underground lair

For the price that they sell for, I think it's a total rip off. If you have some welding skills, some tubular steel bars and end plates welded together and then powder coated will give you the same results. I did it on my old IS, and will be doing it to the GS when I get some time.

did a google search first didn't find anything....then did a search on here.

I see. Just some lower chassis bracing.

If I didn't already mod the **** out of my mustang suspension wise, I may be interested.

Unbelieveable!!! ....whoever said it was aluminum must NOT have owned a set. I mean....why post up bad info? Why? All references or replies to Aluminum will be deleted.

If you do some research...(.ie: go to the Carson Ltuned site)....the description says its tubular steel.

Please...if you don't know...don't post.

I'm pretty sure that you'll enjoy these much better than modding the suspension on your mustang. Mustangs were really designed to go straight. Not very good in corners if you know what I mean.

Mike, I'm pretty sure the Carson tuned ones are made out of steel also. Steel are easier to fabricate and weld. In terms of cost wise, they are cheaper to manufacture. Plus, aluminum will not be very economical since a quality aluminum must be used and has to be cut from a CNC machine to fit some of those bends in the corners.
