Default Progress

Well,

The coil pack are good, compression is good. The mechanic says they are going to investigate the wiring and ecu. Went in person, man I miss my baby.

Well the codes being pulled now are:

1. p1349- P1349 VVT System ( Manufacturer controlled ignition on misfire)

2. p1656- P1656 OCV Circuit (manufacturer cotrolled computer output circuit)

With the info here: I asked if the injectors had been tested and he stated that they were moved to different cylinders and the codes are not following the injector.

Thanks y'all
I'll keep updating

Default About to lose it

Well the car has been out of commision for three weeks, and I feel that the mechanic is just replacing parts.

so far, changed

Timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt.

Idle control sensor.

Bilstiens struts.

One day the mechanic says its the ECU, today says the throttle control sensor.

please help....

Should I just take it to someone else?

Default Got my baby back

Well, got her back and I'm going to list everything that was replaced.

Throttle body replaced
VAcuum Hose
Accelerator pedal sensor

I am not sure what actually fixed the problem, but the final piece was the throttle body. Also replaced shocks and timing belt and water pump, but these were preventative.

Hope this helps someone,

I am sorry I didn't read your post sooner, but the rough idle is very common to a dirty throttle body. About a month ago, when I was replacing the starter on my GS400, I noticed that the throttle body was in bad shape. I cleaned it using B-12 carburator cleaner from WalMart. My car had 103K miles when this was done and I did have some weak signs of rough idle especially when the engine was warm. After the cleaning, it runs like a charm. I hope your car will be fine after the repair.

Timing belt, as well as spark plugs. Kind of an expensive fix, but definitely will feel the difference after all of this.
