I bought blanks on ebay and they worked fine. I paid $60 for one that looks OEM and was supposedly produced by the OEM manufacturer.. and $15 for one that was just a key with a lexus logo and build in transponder. Both work fine and both included programming instructions. Programming took a few minutes to get right but its step by step. However the one key you do have needs to be a Master Key. You can't program off of a valet key.

I believe SEWELL can make a key for you. That's the route I'm going with. I currently have one key so I need another one just in case i lose my master key.

Contact Sewell Lexus.

Don't know if anyone knew, but you can use your valet key sensor to program to your new key(when program, just make sure to place them next to your valet key just like when you start your engine with valet key). I tried it before with success. I bought 2 keys off ebay(one flip, one standard) and they both works fine after cutting at Fort Worth Sewell Lexus. Cost $15each. Only take 2 minutes.

I have a GS300, the key broke away from the fob, and the lock/unlock no longer worked.

Need your VIN number, and a couple of details. Got a complete new key, already cut and ready to be reprogrammed with included instructions. No need for locksmith or dealership intervention. Worked as advertised, $135.00 + s&h (like $5.00) - almost forgot, you need to email in a copy of your insurance card, showing the VIN #...

You cannot reprogram other keys using a valet key. You need a master key. This is why many members had to reflash the locking/unlock computer because they lost their keys.

I only have a valet key because my other one got stolen. Can I get a master off eBay and have it programmed and cut at my local dealer? Or should I go another route? Please advise and thanks in advance.
