Smoke coming out of the hood. help!

How did they manage that? Are you sure they did not put a hole in the filter taking it off and then put it back on again? Oil filters are put on by hand so this sounds way off.

I hope you get them to reimburse you and find a new shop while you are at it.

They could of torn a hole in the filter if the engine banged against something while installing the mounts. To do the mounts, you basically pull the engine out of the car about 5 inches or so. While it is out, a small back and forth rocking can translate to a lot of force due to the weight of the engine.

Yep..
The thing is that I did not notice until about a week later. Thanks to me going fast and the oil splashing on the exhaust pipes. I was mad and at the same time happy. So I gave the car a new oil and filter change as well as a nice full car wash. Now I’m in love again.

Yes I am never going back to that shop!!

Nope. The best one to use is that the reason I was speeding was a while ago my wife ran off with a state trooper and I thought you were coming to bring her back.
