Default GS 430 navigation upgrade

Whats good.I have a 2002 GS430 and Im having problems with the navigation system. The navigation rom in the trunk is not working and I dont want to replace the stock navi rom because is to expensive. So I will like to know if any of you guys have ever put a aftermarket tv screen in replace of the stock navi screen.I been looking in crutchfield and other sites but I cant find nothin.I will appreciate if you guys could help me out.Any aadvice will be highly appreciated.Thanx in advance.

its really hard because all the climate controls, etc are controlled through our nav/tv. check through some old posts via the search and you shall find MANY discussions on this.

If you decide to replace the OEM with aftermarket. If you don't mind losing all of the control option, then it fine...I guess if you like ém...go for it...

its not that simple either as just pulling out and replacing them with NON nav controls....
wiring harness's will be different too, you'll end up spending more than if you had just replaced the oem one, you can get them on here for cheap somedays just look around. if u check back on some old posts it just ends up being to hard/time consuming/costing to much to do this. some people have tried but like i said hardest part i would think is the different wiring harness's good luck and keep us posted!
