try placing it back at the setting you originally had it and see if it goes away? thudding sound,, ball joint?

i dont even knoww the original setting was but the balljoint never hit before that and im still unclear if it is the balljoint im gona try and raised the preload back up and see if that does the trick!! man i hope that is all that is wrong with it!

I hope the coilover are not shot....that thud is possibly to due bottoming out.

i never had problems liek that before i raised it up and i really think it might be the preload spring im gona raise that up and see what happens!

a guy here in local in houston did the retro.


OK guys i got rid of the bouncing but that DAMN thudding is there. Its not as bad after i raised the preload but its still there and its annoying

Sorry to say this but sounds like a blown strut .............. Told you to stay away from the Meagan's . They should be still under warranty. I would get it checked very soon

Your car looks great! I like your taste, very well done. Can't go wrong with TTE lip and the spoilers on the trunk and roof. The retro looks beautiful, well worth the hassle you put into it! I love the color, IMO a chrome trunk bar would really complete the rear end. Not a big fan of the G35 wheels so I'm looking forward to pics with the new 20's.

Hope you can get your suspension issues resolved.

cant be i mean i would have heard something the day i picked my car up!! i mean this all started happening when i raised it like what .75"? there is no way it could be a blown strut. I would have heard that the day i left the shop!

even the day i had my accident i drove my car around for a good 2-3 days before it went into the shop with the alignment off and NO thudding. Just thud if i hit a pot hot really hard!

i think tomorrow im gona try and just lower the sleeve back in and try to raise the preload spring a bit higher then what it was originally set at!
