From using the product a few years ago it is very bright for its size.
Considering the back lighting is as dim as a candle at night , this would be a major improvement.

Its very strange your having this issue. Is your sensor reacting to the light well?

Could be be someone adjusted the settings for the lighting sensor via C-best settings before you purchased it (one that controls how early your sensor triggers the AUTO lights, which may have manipulated the way it operates). Just guessing here.

I thought about cbest as well but did not see any specs for it on the sheet to be changed when i glanced at it.
When i have time i will run it by a dealer to check.

Ok here is a thought , if we know the light out put is realitive to the light source to the sensor . How can we increase it.
We can add a small light which will look stupid or pop the red cover off which should allow enough lumens in to cause the dash to light up more than before. If we could find a clear cover it would be even better.
thoughts on how to pop it off as i do not have the GS repair manual ?

I didn't dig through all 4 pages of this, but I also agree that the dash lights are way too dim at night. I usually pull up to a gas station, under the lights, and sit there for about 2 minutes. They will get alot brighter. When you pull off, they will dim down just a little, but not as bad as it was before. Hope this helps.....

Well i went to the dealer today and had a friend run through the settings. It has a instrumentation level setting .
I changed it from normal to light 1.
It has dark 2 , dark 1 , norm , light1 , light 2 for options.
It seemed pretty bright during the day ( i drive with my headlights on) and most of the night .
Will give it a few days to make sure.

the reason why it dims because your dashboard has 2 sensors on each side, you can see it, its kind of round.. if you cover one of the sides up it dims, or either your dim switch.

You obviously have not read this thread by that comment to come to that conclusion which is already noted on how it works.

Thanks!! Update us with your findings. If this works then I'll be making a trip to the dealer.

Ok 2 weeks later and it is a huge improvement.
It is not as bright as it could be but i will take it back and get is set to light 2 . As long as it is not pitch black when i turn the lights on it will be like a normal car. If you park in a bran with no lights it will be black .

So the dealer can adjust it so get it done.
BTW I finally got that stupid slide open sunroof switched so now when i open it with my alarm it tilts instead.
AHHH, the normal life.
