Just curious how long the coils last? Im at about 165,000miles, so just about every little thing is going slowly. did the spark plugs and wires when i got the car, so about 25,000miles ago.

what are the symptoms when they go bad? will i get a CEL?

you will typically get a misfire if a coil goes bad. and yes,you will probably get the CEL as well. i would not worry about it unless you are having issues.
