Default 2000 GS 300 Wheel Bearing

I am experiencing a grinding noise from the front end when turning and also a slight drift in the steering when driving. I believe that I need to change the wheel bearings. When the tire is off and the brake caliper is removed, how is the rotor removed to access the bearings.

take the knuckle off and take it to a shop. you need a (IIRC) 12t press.

Exclamation Check ball joint

Please check your ball joint. I had a similiar problem and it broke. I would suggest getting both sides changed.

When it goes you will have body damage, abs, brake line, and GOD forbid a life threatening situation.

I don't know how many miles you have, and if the dealer can't duplicate the sound. Get an alignment and something in writing saying that the ball joint is good. I did and it gave out 2 days later. Dealer changed the ball joint on the other side at no cost and gave me a rental for a month.

peace,
