You probably bought wrong ohm size resistors (load equalizers).

Again, my suggestion...disconnect what you did....and remove #4 pin from lamp out module.

my suggestion.. DIODES

Sounds like the load bearing on the two wires may have possibly grounded somewhere. Many of the circuitry is reverse polarity.

i would use two diodes for the two wires:
1. from the car to resistor for the (+)
2. from the resistor to the car (-)

this should isolate possible feedback to the other devices connected to this line.

it should be $3 for the pack of 4 at Radio Shack.

This sounds like the easiest way without risking anything. Removing the pin won't mess anything else up right?

That's why I went with the Sonar's, those and the JP's seem to be much more reliable and hassle free than some of the tails on Ebay (although I have to add that I had problems with 1 of mine 5 months after install, will probably have to replace). They were plug and play and mine had resistors for the inners and outers so no dash light either.

I'd try to undo the resistors you soldered in and deal with the dash light in another way. From what I understand, it can be easily resolved by taking out the bulb if you're more comfortable with that than messing with the wiring harness.

its amazing how a little indicator light will cause so much heartache!
its also amazing the excuses people have for not modding....
