Just installed LED tails
I installed LED tails last night and I soldered resistors onto the inner lights and now my 3rd brake light is always on (the one behind the rear window). It wasn't doing this with my stock lights. Also when I turn on my lights the rear brake light comes on in the dash. With lights off, whenever I step on the brake, the light comes on and goes off when I let go of the brake. Anyone have any idea?

its the lamp out failure module...the earlier LED tails had these issues...the newer ones suppose to resolve it with built-in resistors.
adding resistors suppose to fix the lamp out from showing up on the front dash console. try re-wiring it.
got any pics?

if you do not wish to add resistors, there was a thread in where you remove the purple wire in the back harness to disable the lamp failure light. Ive done this because my vehicle was equipped with a spoiler w/ lamp after standard production w/ the 3rd stop lamp.

for the individuals with just the indicator on thats an easy fix, the ones with issues like what is stated above becomes frustrating, some even had taillight housings burn up due to cheap resistors and so on.

Seems that you may have to install resistors for the outer and inner brake lights...both left and right side. And if you did LED signals...maybe that too....not sure...just thinking out loud.
Honestly, I would just remove that pin #4 from the Lamp Failure Module...and call it a day.

It's not just the lamp failure problem, it's my 3rd brake light is always on and it lights up when I press the brake like the inner and outer brake lights.. :'(
I figure I might have soldered it wrong
