i went to like 3-5 places yesterday to shop for tires everyone told me like 800-1200 for tires in the sizes i want.

And then i call a guy i use to buy used tires from and i just asked him prices for 285/30/20 and a 275/30/20!! man he told me 160 for the 285 and 150 for the 275!! I even work with a guy whose a wholesaler who sales tires. this guy gets tires for a good price like falkens, nitto etc etc and he told me he paid 100 for one of his and that was a 245/35/20!! And then he told me tires sellers mark up those tires like 200% . I mean call me cheap i dont give a crap but im trying to do my hw to get the best price out there.

anyways im going to have to wait till monday to order them. i am gona either from the guy i work with or the guy i use to buy used tires from!!!

The part of tire pricing I find ridiculous is that I paid about $250 a piece for 285/30/20 Falken 452's but the 245/35/20 fronts were only $125 a piece. I don't see how it could cost them twice as much to make a 285/30.

Anyway, good luck with the tire search and getting the wheels mounted up, I'm looking forward to seeing the pics when they're on!

It's not that wide, I know but it fits and clears perfect. I wanted to go lower, but I'm not on air... and there's a lot of speed bumps......
FYI: His rear 10.5 with +29 offset will be the same as your rear 9.5 with +16 offset. It would extend 22mm from your existing +38mm.

its not that it costs them twice as much, they just sell half as many and are trying to make their money back

are you running camber or just bolting them up and hoping and praying that they fit?? and making threads to hope it fits magically?

The more threads you make about your wheels not fitting, the easier they will tuck into your fenders.

Run a smaller tire. It's not like your GS300 really needs a 285 in the back.

did you seeee me make a new thread?? this is the same one i made a few weeks ago and YES im running a slight camber and i know i can run a smaller tire and it will fit but i dont want an exposed lip.

geezz what ever happened to asking for some help. even the shop had trouble torquing the lugs down. so i took the wheels off the car for now. I either got to get bigger lugs or got to see if the tapper inside the holes need to be redone. That is what the shop told me the problem was..the tapper

anyways here are some pix of the car day after i got her back from the shop! it rubed so im just gona raise it up a big!
