I've done two like this, neither was a lexus nor was a direct result of an underhood fire. I like the progress.

IFO in SAT? damn that sucks, just when I moved from there they had to have one!
Mad props my friend, I know what its like to paint a car in the garage...I prepped and painted my old 240sx a few months ago, probably not as good as yours, but good enough for the first time! Good luck in San Antonio!

seriously... i wish i had a neighbor like jeff... although he'd probably get sick of me lurking over his shoulder and constantly asking, "hey what does that do?"

I can't wait to see the finished product, thanks for keeping us posted!

See, that's what I'm talking about. Great way to turn something bad (engine fire) into an opportunity! Should look killer when done.

I just finished prepping my MR2 for paint... I didn't do the body work, but I stripped all the parts off. What a huge PITA. And of course, I now have seats, window trim, dash board, etc. all over the garage AND the house. I know how these projects go...

Hopefully your neighbors hate you less than mine hate me... out in the street with a pressure sprayer, in & out of the garage with the engine hoist, air compressor running, etc.

Yes, I am the white trash of the neighborhood!

Can't wait to see that machine put back together. Nice work so far!
