Yup
Thanks, your car looks awesome. Sometimes I just look at pictures of it for inspiration. (in the "just a pic update" thread)
I've never seen anyone do the 01+ airbag Toyota style so I went for it. Its a dual stage air bag out of a 02+ Camry. I converted it to a single stage so it would work in my 98.

Okay, so I had the chrome 01+ style Toyota airbag for a couple months when I got a great deal on this. After a week or so I would say..... I LOVE IT. The diameter is smaller by about 3/4" compared to the 01+ style wheel. Because of that, the steering is slightly heavier and to me has a much improved feel. It's not too heavy though and in fact I didn't notice the heavier steering 'till after I parked and got out. I could feel my left arm and didn't know why. Then I realized it felt like I had been driving. One thing I never noticed about this wheel is that on most wheels the stitching goes all the way to the airbag. On this wheel you can see the stitching stops before it curves in toward the airbag. Instead, they wrap the leather over and around to the back making a smooth surface for your thumb to rest. It also doesn't have a soft "foamy" feel like the stock wheels. It is a firmer leather wrapped wheel. I will be working on installing the cruise in the next few weeks. Also, I will be trying to get some sort of tiptronic working. And, in case you are wondering, my previous setup is for sale in the classifieds.
