Default 12v in trunk for reverse camera?

What's the best 12v to tap in the trunk for a reverse camera?

i'd go with the reverse lights since you only want the camera to activate when you're in reverse.

What are the 2 wire colors I should tap? Or should I just solder onto the connection directly ?

haha, ah boy you got me there. Well obviously red is power, black is ground, so i'm assuming theres either a green, purple, or white wire for the remote turn-on, something to that effect. There should only be those 3 wires as all they need is power/ground and the remote to hit them when the shifter goes into reverse.

what would be a constant 12v supply to tap into, rather than just the reverse light?

i guess your last resort could be feedling a wire from your battery to the trunk...

The trunk light should be hot all the time, and just completes a ground signal when the trunk pinswitch is open...although I haven't checked on our cars, that's how most trunk pinswitches work. get a test light to confirm
